Abandoned Coffee Shops In The Rain

Everything is beautiful, in the debut new album by Tanger Trio & Ensemble Mondaine that was recently released.

The trio plays the music written by pianist Hansjoern Brandenburg, and they come from Berlin.

The album walks through dark weird alleys, humming classical and jazzy compositions, theatrical, with touches of cabaret, and men with top hats and women in fancy dresses are talking silently.

It’s a soundtrack to a film that was never created in 1954, it’s a bit Giulietta Masina and a bit Nighthawk-era Tom Waits. It’s romantic and urban, it’s an abandoned coffee house courtyard in the rain, it’s the relics of an old theatre in a forgotten city, its European and Mediterranean, it’s fully visible and totally obscure.
And it’s so beautiful.
