Quiet Lights, More Then A Plain Dream-Pop

New Bands Etc
Quiet Lights
are a new band from Brooklyn, aka the new psych capitol of the last two years.
They declare that the term ‘dream-pop’ doesn’t do them justice at all, and I agree with that.
These guys are working on their new album but had released three work-in-progress tracks in their bandcamp page and it sounds a blast.
Quiet Lights

What can I do, I have to use the dream term with Quiet Lights, but you don’t have to listen careful to catch the airy, breezy singing that hints immediately to Mazzy Star and the rest of them melancholic female singer, but Quiet Lights are not the typical shoegaze band as they combine some Black Angles in their pop-psych blended music.

After you’ll check them out, I strongly suggest you to listen to the Israeli band Kitzu (you can download their free sampler here), you’ll find out why I suggested that, I think.

Overall, it made me curious enough to listen to their upcoming release, give them a shot.
