A New Dawn From Austin – Sunset

Austin band Sunset must have learned the task of pop writing and took it seriously.
Otherwise, I really cannot explain their sense for melody and pop arrangments with a retro ting, and contemporary.
I’m not sure if they have released their album already as they are raising money for an album, a book and a worldwide tour (so far, half of the money was raised, care to help?)
Their beautiful song Late Night Dawning is just mesmerising with the calm voice of Bill Baird, the man behind the band and the person who’s responsible to take the influences of Rod Argent/Zombies, Stereolab, Scott Walker and Townes Van Zandt – all to one song and make something good out of it.

Bill Baird is also giving away some free tracks in his website, I picked the touching cover to Buffalo Springfield/Young song – Expecting To Fly.
If this is the long introduction to the band – I guess you can fairly assum the full album will be amazing.
