Los Campesinos! – Romance Is Boring
The Welsh power-post-punk band Los Campesinos has released a new album two weeks ago with the fantastic Arts&Crafts label.
The album, Romance Is Boring is their third release, after the superb debutĀ album Hold On Youngster and it’s follower EP We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed.

Romance, judging by the couple of tracks STR received, is going to be another brilliant collage of post-punk aesthetics, clever lyrics and powerful delivery of perfect pop-rock songs.
Vocals and guitar works are expressive, often sounds like an iron glove scratching a blackboard. But in a good way, that is.

There’s somewhat a joyful spirit in their music, though it’s rather clear these guys aren’t too happy about anything, and though we shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, since there aren’t any books left, just Kindles and I-Pad, I’m allowing myself to do whatever I want and judge whoever I want.
Allmusic.com, though not the most reliable place in the world, pretty much trashed their record, comparing to their previous two, and though I can’t be definite about it, I sense they’re wrong. Romance sounds easily like a summary of the current indie-rock guitars and shows a perfect example of a passionate band.
